Word 3.01 - text & graphics - use the Side by Side command to add text beside a graphic or to superimpose text on a graphic. First, you need to paste or type the items that you want to appear side by side in your document one under the other. Now use the ruler to set the margins of each item so that one appears on the right side of the page and the other on the left. (Don't use tabs to move the text over to the right side of the screen.) Select both items and choose Side by Side in the Paragraph dialog box (Format menu). Use Page Preview (File menu) to see how the page will look when printed. To have the text superimposed on your graphic, set the margins so that the two items overlap.
